My other passion is caving, and living quite close to the Yorkshire Dales which has the best limestone karst in the country ( other people might tell me otherwise) it was kit packed and heading towards Kingsdale which is just north of Ingleton.
Clear sky sun shining nice and bright im heading to a cave called Bull Pot, this cave is situated on the west flank of Kingsdale. Since the introduction of SRT (single rope technique) in the seventies, it makes it a lot easier to cave solo as your not carrying bulky ladders, just lengths of 10mm static rope and Krabs.
Its amazing with just rain water and carbon dioxide from the air and vegetation to make the water slightly acidic the formations created in caves.
