South West Ridge

Follow the SW ridge behind me and you can follow it for 100km plus past the airport but only at weekends.
The wind should be more westerly as there is a large shoulder to get round if there is any south the  shoulder creates really bad rotor

There are some special places to fly,

This site about 15-20km south of Iquique the sites called Palo Buque very popular with world class acro dudes. Flying from about 4.30 in the afternoon and watch the sunset set over the Pacific.

Take off

The view from take off.

The main take is not in use as its been redeveloped for the sole purpose of paragliding and the whole take off is beening laid with astro turf.

This take off is about 540m asl.

On our usual landing spot near the beach there is a tandem outfit offering tandem flights and trike flights.

Heathrow terminal 1  flying with Tam Airlines stop off at San Paulo Brazil then connecting flight on to Santiago Chile. With an internal flight from Santiago up to Iquique.
should arrived around tea time tomorrow.
